I have to make a confession to make: paintings by Rembrandt (1606-1669) don't do much for me. Ofcourse I can see they are very good, but that's it.
Whereas his drawings... and his etchings, those are fantastic!
Especially the quick sketches, where you can almost follow his hand across the paper.
They give you an insight into life in that time.
What more can I say?
