Monday hero: Rik -and Nel- Wouters

At Flehite museum, Amersfoort there's an exhibition of work by one of my all time favourite artists, Rik Wouters (1882-1916).

You can also watch an hour-long documentary about Nel Wouters, his wife, model and muse.

Wouters made countless portraits of her, from the magnificent bronze statue Domestic worries to small pen and ink drawings.

At Flehite there are drawings and watercolors I hadn't seen before.

The exhibition runs till January 8, and is very much worth a visit.
