Monday hero: Chiaki Okada

Completely different from the work of Edward Gorey, that I showed last week, is the work of the Japanese illustrator Chiaki Okada.

But certainly not less attractive.

Her soft drawings of animals and children have a lot of atmosphere, and I've never seen a sweeter -yet bearlike- polar bear!
