Monday Hero: Siemen Dijkstra

Some time ago I had a weekly series on my website about artists I admire, called 'Monday Hero'.

I thought it was time to take this up again, kicking of with a color woodcut I happen to own, by Dutch artist Siemen Dijkstra.

This woodcut, named 'Moon over the Fochtel' measures 14 x 14 cm.

It is incredibly fine, and beautifully colored.

Siemen Dijkstra currently has an exhibition at the Wierdenland museum.

It runs till june 22, so I hope to be able to go see it.
